Cooking Questions
I really like to cook and am also trying to learn Spanish (I know a little bit of Spanish but not enough to have a conversation).
I was wondering if someone could help me learn some cooking words.
I have used the "translate" function on this website to find some words like "cocinar", "cocinero", "hornear", "cocer", and others.
The dictionary here is very helpful but I was hoping if someone could use some of these words in a sentence for me so that I understand how to use them the right way.
If anyone could post any sentence about cooking in Spanish that they have heard used before or that they themselves use that would be very helpful for me!!!!! I just thought maybe learning some Spanish words about things I like would be a good place to start on my journey to learning more Spanish.

And I know it is preferred if the person asking the question takes some guesses first before others offer their answers, so here are some sentences I have made up about cooking:
- I like to cook. = A mi me gusta cocinar.
- First, beat the eggs. = Primero, bate los huevos.
- I baked a cake for you. = Te horneé un pastel.

Here is an idea for you. There are a thousand cooking videos on youtube. One of my favorites is Chucheman. He has dozens of cooking videos. You can get a ton of cooking lingo from his videos.
Here is one of my favorites. Very delicious.
I've had the same idea as gringo. Check this link. I recommend you to look for a cook that doesn't speak too fast. There are tons of recipes. Watch, listen and learn! And if you get stuck come here and we will help you!
