How to say shotgun
How do you say shotgun in Spanish? Not the weapon, but the front seat of a car. Like "I call shotgun" or "I'm riding shotgun."

Here's the origin of the expression, which may help in understanding why there isn't a literal translation in Spanish: Riding shotgun
"Ir en el asiento delantero", "ir en el asiento del pasajero" o "ir de copilot," at least in Puerto Rico. To say, "shotgun" seems to be the same as in English, "shotgun," but that's because of exposure to American culture.
It is my understanding that this term isn't used outside of the US because that is where it originated but anyway 'asiento del acompañante '
