Searching for Crocheters at SD...

My friend, Maria, is fantastic with crocheting doilies and things. But she wants to expand her selection to more. There's one small problem...most of the pattern books for crochet are in English and getting Spanish pattern books is a little out the budget.

My question is, are there any crocheters at SD, that would know the abbreviations used in crochet in Spanish?

For example, punto bajo is single crochet. Single crochet is written sc in English. What would the abbreviation be in Spanish? Thanks.

Hi Saige! I don't crochet, but I found this list of crochet translations on Pinterest, if it's any help: crochet: español/inglés

Amazing. Is there any conceivable information that cannot readily be found on the internet? Findy's answer got my curiosity going so I spent about 10 seconds searching and found these two sites. The first gives the abbreviations in several languages. The second is specific to the abbreviations in Spanish but the translation of the abbreviations does not seem to be complete. I will put the second link in a separate post. I have never been successful in putting two links in one post.
