Say "Vin Diesel has ten weapons."
This may seem a little odd for a Spanish lesson; however, read it this way: sé ven di sal haz ten ve pon and you have a mnemonic devise for remembering the 8 irregular verb forms in the Imperative Mood, Second Person Singular (familiar), Affirmative. The verbs are saber ser, venir, decir, salir, hacer, tener, ver, and poner.
Verbs incorporating these verbs as suffexes generally follow the same pattern.
- (-venir: prevenir) Prevén a tus niños de los desconocidos. Warn your children about strangers.
- (-tener: sostener) Sostén el tablón hasta que lo clavo. Hold the board until I nail it.
- (-poner: posponer) Pospón la fiesta. Postpone the party.
- (-ver: prever) Prevé los accidentes en tu casa. Prevent accidents in your house.
Note how the accent must be written (in the above) to show the proper stressed syllable.
(-hacer: deshacer) Deshaz la corbata. Untie the tie.
(-salir: sobresalir) Sobresal en los deportes y ganarás. Excel in Sports and you will win.
However verbs formed with the suffix -decir have the ending -dice (bendecir, maldecir, predecir, contradecir, desdecir).
Predice lo que me pasará. Predict what will happen to me.
- I don't think there are any suffixes -ser. My original post erroneously had "saber" which is not an irregular verb in this category.
Only resaber uses the suffix -saber.Sé un hombre y admite tus errores

You can refer to Affirmative informal tú commands on this site for more information.
In this link the verb decir is incorrectly given as "diga" this has been brought up and may soon be corrected to "di".

This is an old post that had an error in it. I wanted to correct it and make new members aware of the subject matter here: Irregular "tú" forms in the imperative. I hope it is helpful.
