I specially agree with the last part of that quote: 'When I am kind, I feel your love'. Even if you take that sentence out of its context, which seems to be the mourning, it holds a lot of meaning for me. That little gate that we all have inside and allows feelings to go outside and makes us to show kindness, works in both directions. That's why you cannot feel really loved until you are willing to love.

Too cheesy. My apologies.

[Feel free to correct my English. Thank you]

Demasiado cursi. Lo siento.

Not cheesy at all, amigo. - rac1, Sep 2, 2013
"which seams to be the morning " I agree with dear rac1 , it is not cheesy at all , although nothing wrong with being a little cheesy , which for me shows feelings and humility . Thank you for a most illuminating post. - ray76, Sep 2, 2013
A nit picking correction to your English amigo. - ian-hill, Sep 2, 2013
"makes us to show kindness", should be "makes us show kindness" OR " causes us to show", - ian-hill, Sep 2, 2013
Thank you all. - 003492fc, Sep 2, 2013

When it is truly dark you can't see anything not even your hand in front of your face.

When the sun is too strong, it defeats our vision.

The spirit is divine; and though unasked,

He would conduct us to the upward path;

He hides himself with that same light

He sheds.

He does with us as men do with themselves; for

He who sees a need but waits to be asked is already set on a cruel refusal.

I am reading this book called, "The Four Agreements," by Don Miguel Ruiz. Three thousand years ago, a man discovers secrets that help him understand the world around him. I wrote a poem that summarizes the first few pages.

Three thousand years ago

In the land of Mexico,

a curious man slept in a cave

unaware of the knowledge that he would crave.

He was training to be a medicine man

And also how to be a part of the Toltec clan.

In his heart he felt there was more

with his subconscious mind he was ready to explore

through all his thoughts that he was keeping,

but instead in this dream he saw himself sleeping.

He floated away to the sky above

And felt an exploding love

His spirit drifted away in the night

He looked up and saw many stars in sight

Then in his heart he knew he was right

He was made from the stars from this loving light.

When it is dark, you can always see the light. However sometimes you have to wait for the stars or the daybreak.

When it is dark enough you can see the stars

When it is dark enough the stars can be seen.

Thanks mate , I used " se puede ver" which is like saying , " you yourself can see them " am I right ? - ray76, Sep 3, 2013
No, "puedo" would be it. "se puede"/"can be seen" = anyone that tries to look. - chileno, Sep 3, 2013

To me this is such a powerful poem, if we place "God" in place of the sentences we can claim each of the promises, such as "When I am silent enough... reminds me of the verse Be still and know that I am God." We can be filled with His peace when we are silent. When we are in His Presence we can have the fullness of joy. He will take us out of darkness and put us in His light and when we seek Him, we will feel His love.
