"school dismissal" as in the release at the end of the school day

I would appreciate a second opinion on translating the phrase "school dismissal". It is intended to describe the release from classes at the end of the day. I am thinking of "la despedida escolar" but I do not want it to come across as an expulsion. Thank you for your help.

To avoid the connotation of rejection or "firing" - one way to say this is: "Eso es todo por hoy." - That's all for today.

I would say La hora de salida de la escuela / La hora de salir de la escuela.

If you don't know, you don't have to answer the question. It's ok. :) - rac1, Aug 28, 2013
