Netflix and Heroes

Question

There are always questions here about how to gain exposure to Spanish using various media.

I am watching the SciFi series Heroes on Netflix. I am watching in English with Spanish subtitles and I have to say the subtitles are the best I have ever seen. They do an excellent job of tracking the English conversation with true Spanish, ie. they are not literal translations of the English but closely convey the dialog.

I watch a lot of movies on Netflix this way and the subtitles are sometimes ok and sometimes not so okay for learning. But this series has excellent subtitles.

I have not yet tried dubbed Spanish with the Spanish subtitles. I will go back once I have finished the series the first time and re-watch it in Spanish with the Spanish subtitles.

Anyway. I just thought I would share this with you all.

Movies and TV series are the tools that I use the most. I create my own 'linguistic immersions' at home . I follow a bunch of American TV series and I watch them in English with English or Spanish subtitles.

Heroes, I loved that serie, specially the first season. Then, the quality decreased enormously. But that's only my personal opinion and I don't want to spoil you anything.

In Spain, as you already know, everything is dubbed.
