The world is my oyster!

I heard a Mexican speaker say something in Spanish, and he said it meant that an opportunity opened up, as in the world is my oyster. It didn't sound like abrir la ostra. Is there a Mexican phrase out there that covers this?

Well here in Mexico an oyster is ostión. Does that make any difference?

"Ostra" and "ostión" are the same. Note the suffix "on" which indicates "large" - 005faa61, Aug 22, 2013
