Guidelines:
Write sentences at least 5 words long, but don't write a paragraph either. Write your Spanish sentence, but include the English translation as well. Make the corrections suggested by other users and moderators in the comments section (try not to use personal pronouns unless absolutely necessary). Use your own words! (Don't use a translator, copy from a book, use song lyrics, etc.) Please keep political, religious or personal statements to a minimum. This is a practice game to help with using a new vocabulary word! Have fun experimenting with Spanish.
Examples:
1. Estuvo acertado en su decisión de dejar esa empresa. Quebró menos de dos meses después de que él se haya ido.
He was correct in his decision to leave that company. It went under less than two months after he had left.
2. Por no estudiar, María no estuvo acertada cuando la profesora le pidió que contestara la pregunta.
Because she didn't study, Maria wasn't correct when the professor asked her to answer the question.

One suggestion about the use of the word "acertado". Like Jubilado said, it also can be used as a wise, intelligent, or smart.
For example: "Mi hermana está a dieta y no puede comer dulces. Yo empezé a hablar de pasteles de chocolates enfrente de ella. Mi comentario no fue muy acertado. La hice sentir mal."
"My sister is on a diet. She cannot eat anything sweet. I started talking about chocolate cakes in front of her. My comment was not very smart. I made her feel bad."
