was just watching the show "caso cerrado" to improve my spanish...the lady judge says "vamos a un corto recesso"

why is the adjective before the noun in this case? i also noticed the adjective "largo" is always before the noun...i dont understand why.. can someone help me? thanks so much for your time. have a great one!

The reason the adjective is before a noun is because when the structure is "Adj + Noun" it is one whole subject for example, "Corto Recesso". This structure the adjective is not describing the noun, therefore, it is put before the noun. If the structure is "Noun+Adj" or "recesso corto", than she is describing the noun.

Hope this makes sense. Don't worry it is confusing.
