Kidney stone passing translation

Kidney stone passing translation

Today I was trying to tell a patient, "The stone will pass on its own" (i.e., stone as in kidney stone). What is the best way to say this? I said something like, "La piedra va a pasar por su mismo," which I am now realizing is probably wrong, and then eventually I think I conveyed the correct message by saying, "La piedra va a pasar. No es necesario que haga nada." I tried looking at some translator versions of the phrase and got things like "pasar por su propia" but I wanted to get someone's input on this. Thanks!

El cálculo renal pasará solo / El cálculo renal pasará por su propia cuenta.

No es necesario que haga nada. (This part is good)
