Subjuntivo - no me importa

Subjuntivo - no me importa

Hi,

1. I know that "no me importa" usually calls for the subjunctive to follow. So, could you explain me why in the following sentence using "pasas" y no "pases" is the correct answer ? (i guess it has to do with the subjunctive being used for "sea" later)

"no me importa si me pasas otra, pero que sea buena"

2. I wanted to say "only when i will know everything"

And I was told the correct way is : "solo cuando sepa todo", while I assumed is "solo cuando sabre todo". Why is that ?

Thx

"no me importa si me pasas otra, pero que sea buena"

Chileno is right, however, the reason pasar must be indicative in this sentence is that a clause in present tense following will use this structure.

"only when i will know everything"

If this is a statement, will should not be used in English and saber must be subjunctive in Spanish because of uncertainty.

If this is a question, then you can use will in English and sabré in Spanish.

1- because if you want to use the subjunctive then the structure would've been:

no me importa que me pases otra...

2- Are asking? Only, when will I know everything? else what do you want to answer by saying it like that. In English the only thing closer to what you want is "only when I know everything" which corresponds to "solo cuando sepa todo"

Does it make sense?

Solo cuando sepa todo:

This is becaus it's cuando, referring to the future, this is always followed by the subjunctive.

As for the rest of the question, a positive si phrase doesn't need the subjunctive, but I don't quite understand what you want o say so Ileave it to others to follow it up.
