Complaint Letter

Dear Sir Robert Louis Stewenson

I am writing to complain about the lost of my luggage at the arrival of the fly IB2459, flying from Paris to Madrid the 22th of July, 2013.

We have checked two suitcases at Charles Degaulle’s airport in Paris but when we arrive in Madrid we could only get one of them, the other one was missing. We went to the Lost Baggage Office at the Madrid’s airport with our show Luggage Ticket and we were informed that the other Baggage has not arrived at the Madrid’s airport. The personnel of the airport gave us a receipt and note our address in Madrid, telling us that, probably, in one or two days the missing suitcase will be in our apartment, of course, without any extra charge.

To date, 2 weeks later, we have no idea of where our suitcase is. It is still missing. We would like to have more information about the real situation of our luggage and when it is expected to arrive at our apartment in Madrid. Also we think that we should have any compensation for this unfortunate delay.

Please do not hesitate to contact me about at the above address, or by email at raulgommar@gmail.com, or by phone at 666111222, in order to solve this situation. I am looking forward to hearing from you in the near future.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Yours faithfully,

"I am writing to complain about the loss of my luggage at the arrival of flight IB2459," flying from Paris to Madrid on July 22, 2013.

We (the word have is unneeded) checked two suitcases at Charles Degaulle’s airport in Paris but when we arrived in Madrid we could only get one of them, the other one was missing. We went to the Lost Baggage Office at the Madrid airport with our show Luggage Ticket and we were informed that the other Baggage had not arrived at the Madrid airport. The airport personnel gave us a receipt and noted our address in Madrid, telling us that, probably, in one or two days the missing suitcase would be in our apartment, of course, without any extra charge.

To date, 2 weeks later, we have no idea word 'of' is unneeded where our suitcase is. It is still missing. We would like to have more information about the real situation of our luggage and when it is expected to arrive at our apartment in Madrid. Also we think that we should have any compensation for this unfortunate delay. This sentence should probably be something more like : "Additionally, we believe that we should receive compensation for this unfortunate delay"

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Yours faithfully,"

You may also want to address your letter as "To Whom it May Concern:" and end it with either "Thank you, [your name]" or "Sincerely, [your name]"

Your English is very good though, this was very understandable, and the mistakes were quite minor.
