How would you say "to give someone a lift" in Spanish?
I wanted to say " it was so nice of you to give us a lift" but I have absolutely no idea how to

This is very subject to where you are. But here in Baja we would say one of two things.
Gracias por llevarme. or Gracias por darme un raite. I have never been able to get the correct spelling of raite as it is slang. The non-slang term is aventón. But is never used here.
"to give someone a lift"
Throughout the interior of Mexico, unlike the peninsula of Baja California, we say: Dar a alguien un aventón.
"Darle a alguien un ascensor" means " to give someone a lift" and it means "give someone a lift."
In northern Colombia it is "dar el chance".
