Espanto Espíritu

Espanto Espíritu

This word is used in Mexico for something that you might find around a house. Do you know what it is?

Use your imagination. It is a very descriptive name for an object, but you won't find it in a dictionary. At least I don't think you will. Sometimes you guys amaze me with what you find.

What a great name for Wind Chimes - ian-hill, Aug 1, 2013
Espanta (with an a) as opposed to "espantos" as the original name of the thread. Threw me off completely. :) - chileno, Aug 4, 2013

Ha! I have it...it's a witch's ball...a glass one that hangs from the ceiling to capture evil spirits inside it. I have a purple one. Just be careful not to break it or they all escape!

Here is a clue. It is a decorative item that has no practical use, possibly leading to its whimsical name.

Ask me some questions.

Okay. Another clue.

I hangs from the ceiling.

I'm off to the city so no responses from me for a few hours. When I get back I will tell you if someone has not solved it by then.
