Positioning of the word "aún"

Question

Does the position of the word "aún" change it's meaning or emphasis?

El mundo aún estå en peligro.

Aún no lo creo.

No he visto aún la película.

Would moving the "aún" to final position in the sentence be correct? Would it alter the meaning?

What about placing it in first position in the sentence?

In your first sentence I would use todavía. In the other two I would place the aún first.

Yes they are the same but in the middle of a sentence (for me) todavía sounds better. - gringojrf, Jul 31, 2013

Aún no lo creo. It's ok. And also No lo creo aún.

No he visto aún la película. It's ok. And also Aún no he visto la película, and No he visto la película aún.

What about placing it in first position in the sentence? You can do it but it would not always sound natural.

In my experience, there is no significant difference in meaning or emphasis depending on the placement of aún. Great question, though. I would like to hear what native Spanish speakers think.
