Sometimes the poorest man leaves his children the richest inheritance.

Please correct my sentence.

I guess that one has to first define both riches and inheritance .

As well as , what is considered as being "poor".

The greatest inheritance someone can give to their children are their values, beliefs and principles for a better life.

- 0095ca4c, Jul 30, 2013
Unfortunately , what is given to the children now are I phones and tablets , they hardly talk as a family , they eat while watching TV , I am generalising of course but it is pretty standard. - ray76, Jul 30, 2013

Empezé a leer libros espirituales.

When my dad died, I thought a lot about the meaning of life. I started reading spiritual books. What started out as a dark time actually opened my heart to new ideas. I felt that I had a goal in life again.

I wrote this poem right after he died.

Dennis Wayne Wilson

August 31, 1956- July 5, 2006

A blue light shimmers bright

even though it is night.

The crescent moon is far too small

to create the sparkles beginning to fall.

The animals in the forest echo warning.

I hear my dad plead, "No more mourning!"

He tells me he is near

With everyone, everywhere.

His heart is giant, full of love.

That's why he glimmers above.

He has passed all of his tests

which is why his body now rests.

His spirit flows with absolute freedom

even though we can't see him.

I'm so happy that the people in my orbit have a different definition of success. One that is sustainable and obtainable, in this lifetime.

I think the Spanish is correct Ray.

I wonder if there is a Spanish saying that means the same thing.

There is little doubt about the truth of the statement.

I have wondered that also , I have found that sayings which are close to the poor people are most likely to exist in both countries . Thanks mate,¿ Quiere a charla esta noche ? - ray76, Jul 30, 2013

Nothing to ponder about the words "richness", "inheritance" and "poor"

Happiness and knowledge cannot be really measured.

Hi chileno, I think 'poor' could be subjective depending on where you live in the world. I've heard people say they can't buy a new car because they are so poor. :-) - 0095ca4c, Jul 30, 2013
Good it is not subjunctive too amiga :) - ian-hill, Jul 30, 2013
That why I said nothing to ponder about the three words. ;) - chileno, Jul 31, 2013
Well Chileno, I there there is much to ponder. Whether in fact the guy who can't purchase the new car is really poor in the eyes of someone who can't afford three meals a day versus someone who can't afford one meal a day versus someone who... - 0095ca4c, Jul 31, 2013
Oh geez Ian...don't even go there lol - 0095ca4c, Jul 31, 2013
Oh you can ponder all you want, but that's merely "meddling", that's why it is subjective. ;) - chileno, Jul 31, 2013
I don't want to meddle with anything even close to subjunctive chileno. :-) - 0095ca4c, Jul 31, 2013
I didn't say you were a meddler though.... see? - chileno, Jul 31, 2013
