I enjoy discovering words and phrases that make speech more colorful and fun.

This post is Just for the fun of finding ways to use a phrase, and expand vocabulary

I hope you will will try it.

Here is a phrase I think we have all used at one time or another-In some cases serious, some hilarious.

Learners use any resource you wish to make your phrase. Post in English and Spanish

The prase is " Me tiene harto" o "estoy harto" The gender of "harto" must follow the speaker

Here are my examples:

" Estoy harto de su vida desordenada"

"Estoy harto de pagar cada vez mas impuestos"

Don't trust the translator on this one. This is coming from Mexican Spanish.

Use it in any way you wish and lets see if we can have some fun with it.

A vote for all answers and most votes gets best answer.

Enjoy !

As always please advise me if you see typos or other errors.

These are fun! So, would I use harta because I'm female? - Findy, Jul 29, 2013
Oh wait... must follow the gender of the speaker. (I will learn to read one day...) - Findy, Jul 29, 2013

Me harto que no puedo cambiar mi manera de pensar.

I am fed up (with myself) because I can't change the way I think.

¿Qué pasa? ¿Estás harto con esta conversación?

What's up? Are you bored with this conversation.

Note: I hear this used all the time for bored. Much more ofter than aburrido. Also hartar is a verb and can be used without the estar helping verb.

Me harta con Estoy harta de los avisos al público con respecto a las inundaciones repentinas para que entonces interrumpen televisión.

I am fed up with public announcements regarding flash floods that interrupt television.

(Chileno will know what I'm talking about.)

I'm in over my head here, and am sure I've made a hash job of this. enter image description here

Hola Findy, Your sentence is complicated-try this: "Estoy harta de los..." . Also change "para" and use "que" instead. Suerte! - pacofinkler, Jul 29, 2013
Yes, the sentence kept growing and growing of its own accord! Thank you for your help, Paco. :D - Findy, Jul 29, 2013
(Does't help that I was angry at the weather service when I wrote it. Every TV show all day was ruined by these obnoxious announcements - and there was not a drop of rain here all day.) - Findy, Jul 29, 2013
Hi Findy I think "entonces" is not needed. otherwise great!! - pacofinkler, Jul 29, 2013
I hate those warnings, they invariably mean nothing at all. - 0095ca4c, Jul 29, 2013
Muchas gracias, mis amigos! (corrected) - Findy, Jul 29, 2013

Mi mamá siempre me dijo, "Estoy harto de decirte a limpiar tu habitación."

My mom always said to me, "I'm sick and tired of telling you to clean your room."

I was sick and tired of screaming fans at football matches until a friend bought me some ear plugs.

Estaba harta y cansada del griterío de los seguidores en los partidos de fútbol hasta un amigo me compró tapones para los oídos.
