Mucho or muy apreciado

Question

For English speakers the translation of the expression "much appreciated" OBVIOUSLY is "mucho apreciado", cognate for cognate. Is it correct, is this a case of false cognates or perhaps the expression isn't that usual in Spanish in the first place?

Muy apreciado, pero también puede significar "muy agradecido" o "con agradecimiento".

Appreciate= apreciar, agradecer.

"apreciado" podría significar "cotizado" o "valorado", así indirectamente podría significar caro, es decir, se podría usar el adjetivo "apreciado" como eufemismo de costoso (no necesariamente de 'caro') - -cae-, Jul 29, 2013

En español se podría decir "muy apreciado" como parte de una oración más larga, no simplemente "muy apreciado", eso por sí solo no tiene mucho sentido, en ese caso decimos "muy agradecido/a".
