Predecir, irregular conjugation question.
Predecir -to predict, to forecast, to foretell.

My question is, why the choice in format with the conditional and future tense of this verb. My guess is that the difference is regional. Does anybody have any idea where the different forms are used? I'm also curious to know, why the differences in the imperfect subjunctive with the r forms and s forms, I have read answers before that just kind of said, pick one, but if anyone knows where they are used, we would appreciate the help with understanding.

That's a good question... you would think that PREDECIR would follow the same conjugation as DECIR. I have forwarded this question to someone who just might be able to help.
As far as the differences in the imperfect subjunctive, I'm sure you've heard that the "s form" is used more in Spain, or is used more in literature. But even I use it from time to time. Especially if there are two imperfect subjunctive forms in the same sentence, I will write the second one with the "s form". Not that I am quick enough to think on my feet and do this while speaking, yet!

Ni siquiera sabía que se podía decir "prediría" o "prediré". Nunca lo había oído y no creo que nadie me entendiera si las usara. No sé si serán habituales en otros países, pero aquí (España) lo normal es decir "predeciría" y "predeciré".
Pero sí, las otras formas también son correctas: Predecir
Para mi hay solo una predicción importante: el pronóstico del tiempo conocido también como pronóstico meteorológico.
