It is slang. It is a cross between anyway and whatever. I have never heard of anywise. It is also like the new ridiculous word whatev, which is short for whatever. I say whatever to all of it.

Not really. It's slang and a 'fun' way of saying, Well, anyway.....

Agree with all the good answers above, but will add a comment.

Regional accents, especially, but not limited to, the south, can change our vowel sounds quite a bit. There is a good chance that when you thought you heard "anywise" that you were just hearing another accent of the slang word "anyways"

Hello gartic! "Anywho" is a slang term used only in spoken English (or informal written) which means "anyway." Interestingly enough, I think "anyways" is an informal version of "anyway" just like "anywho." I have never heard "anywise" before, though some English-speaking regions may use it. Anyway is what you find searching but it is not completely correct, a synonym of anyway is anyhow. Anywho actually originates as a pun on anyhow aka anyhoo.
