would any native speaker like to share how to say

cast the line... in Spanish

or, if so inclined to take it further:

when you cast the line, it is important to keep your index finger on the line until you are in the motion of casting, then you release your finger as the line goes out into the ocean

From an article, some helpful words:
Cuando la caña casi esté en posición vertical, se doblará hacia atrás con el peso del cilindro de práctica. Conforme se doble la caña, mueva su antebrazo hacia el frente con un ligero movimiento de la muñeca.

Cuando la caña alcance el nivel de su mirada, extienda su dedo índice para soltar la línea.
