The Meat, La Carne

The Meat, La Carne

I found that "the water" is "El agua" due to the "a's" causing confusion and sound mashups. I cannot see a rule for "The Meat" being "La Carne". Seeing at it ends in an "e" wouldn't it be masculine?

Thanks for the help in advance.

I just found "La Leche", being feminine, maybe I was wrong in the noun ending in "e" being masculine?

There isn't a rule that works all the time. You just have to learn the gender of each word, which is why it is always worth learning the pronoun at the same time as the word.
