What's up in the land down under?
Ray has been snatching up badges since 2010. It's always a g'day when Ray shows up on SD. Could we do without him on Drop One, Take One? He encourages us to think a little deeper with his quips and pensamientos profundos in his Translation: All Levels Thread and manages to have a lovely comment to encourage or make us laugh or ponder each day. Who is the 1st to offer assistance in filling in threads for others? Who brings us fun anecdotes from his many ventures abroad & a steady stream of laughs? When he's not here, we all pine for him, and when he's here he keeps us all going with his genuine concern for his friends here at SD. There are not enough words to say thank-you, Ray, so we'll just continue to vote up your answers and threads. Thanks for all you do here on the site. Reading all your kind words and encouragement was almost too much for me,
that is why I have taken so long in replying. Over the years at SD we have
established certain protocol of behaviour not only on our congratulatory posts
but every post that we do , I do not want to break one of these important codes
of conduct , and that is to say thank you to Katya for starting this thread , and to
all of you for being so kind to respond in such a wonderful fashion .
Our friendship and the way we behave towards each other is the ingredient
which binds us all together and makes SD more than just a language site ,
but a site where we can learn to behave with dignity and respect , where we can
ask a silly question but not be called a fool , we get help when we need it and
are able to help others when asked . I am humbled by your praise , and very
grateful for your friendship . You are all Legends.
