Direct Versus Indirect Object Pronoun
Las ovejas lo querían y le seguían.
Both of these Object Pronouns appear to be Direct Object Pronouns. Why is the second Object Pronoun an Indirect Object Pronoun?
Let me thank you in advance for your help.

To me that is "leísmo", it should've been "lo".
You see, it reads exactly the same like so:
Las ovejas lo querían y (lo) seguían.
Now, some people will say that the phrase should be written:
Las ovejas le seguían y (le) querían.
In which case it is also accepted.
