Puerto Rican Slang Pronunciation: Chupame
Why is Chupáme pronounced this way instead of Chúpame? Or am I confused? I talked to a native Puerto Rican who is an intern translator for the United Nations and he told me that it's because Puerto Ricans have a peculiar accent and they say Chupáme because it has more of an affect... it supposedly sounds even more derogatory.
Thanks.

Only Puerto Ricans or people closely associated to them could answer you. That's a regional thing.
