In the Spanish words, felíz and deslíz, why does the tilde inconsistently appear, even in respected dictionaries?

Question

The meanings of the words do not seem to be affected by the appearance or omission of the tilde. Are there other words in Spanish that follow this example? This Q/A question was prompted when I was studying the Q/A entry "Common connection phrases & sentence starters".

"Felíz" and "Deslíz" are both misspelled. RAE is the most prestigious institution responsible for regulating the Spanish language, since its authority dates from the colonial times, in which it was the only institution of this kind. Nowadays, each independent Spanish-speaking country has its own official language institution, but RAE remains as the most prestigious and important institution for standard Spanish usage. In words in which the stress falls on the last syllable, we have to notice if they are ending with 'n', 's' or a vowel. If that is the case, you must use a written accent mark or "tilde" (on the last syllable). Examples:

Con tilde: Agredí, Bebí, Camión, Danés, Eché, Fusión / Sin tilde: Amor, Botar, Perdiz, Falaz, Valor. Please correct my English, if you feel it's necessary. Thanks,

Chileno e Ignacio lo han dicho muy bien. Feliz y Desliz no llevan tilde pues son palabras agudas. Las palabras agudas son las que tienen la sílaba tónica en último lugar. Llevan tilde si terminan en vocal, en n o en s. Feliz y desliz terminan en zeta, por lo cual no llevan tilde.

Chileno and Ignacio have said it very eloquently. Feliz and Desliz do not need an accent mark because they are aguda words (those words whose last syllable is stressed). These words require an actual written accent if and only if they end in the letters n or s or a vowel, which is not the case of Feliz or Desliz.

Did you check with this one, http://www.rae.es/rae.html the only one respected in the Spanish world. The others are, may as it be, all "bilingual".

RAE does not include entries for either of these words with a tilde. I think the bilingual dictionaries must make room for them as these words probably appear often with tildes. I doubt that RAE is the only dictionary respected in the Spanish world. - Esteban3304, Jun 29, 2013

No hace falta buscar en ningún diccionario para saber que esas palabras no llevan acento sobre esa i, según las reglas de acentuación, no tendría ningún sentido. Se trata de un error ortográfico.
