Acelata, please do not think that my post was sarcasm , I do not do that , if anything it was to cover -up my ignorance in Spanish , but also to lighten things up , a laugh gets members moving. - ray76, Jun 23, 2013
so do prunes amigo :-) - 0095ca4c, Jun 23, 2013
I prefer Muesli with Yoghurt . That was a very fast retort amiga , if you will pardon the expression . - ray76, Jun 23, 2013

I would gladly translate it for you ; but unfortunately I was only able to down

one bottle of overproof Rum , if you would be so kind as to allow me a few

more minutes to crack a few tinnies and maybe an Irish whiskey or three

then I may be on the right track to crack this fascinating song , perhaps even

sing a verse or two , I am not averse to doing that . Buena suerte amigo xxx .

Was that sarcasm? I'm not sure, I can't really tell. - Acelata, Jun 22, 2013

Calle 13 "Breakfast Kiss"

I want to walk on top of your hair

Until I reach the belly button to your ear

and to recite just a little bit of tickle

And give you a sheet of clams

Give you a breakfast kiss

So we can fly to Neptune

If it’s cold I’ll warm you up with a poppy seed soup

And with a stew of haws

http://lyricstranslate.com/en/un-beso-de-desayuno-breakfast-kiss.html

for the whole song.

I had to google haws...from what I read they are hawthorn berries and make good jam, but who would want a breakfast kiss after clams? Yuk. - 0095ca4c, Jun 23, 2013
I didn't know what haws were either. How about oysters before breakfast:) - 0083f5dc, Jun 23, 2013
Hawthorn berries are an anti cancer treatment in the alternative world , quite delicious too , but oysters never at anytime , i prefer mussels or clams . - ray76, Jun 23, 2013
Oysters are an aphrodisiac to set the mood of the song. - 0083f5dc, Jun 23, 2013
Ombligo can mean the middle of something which fits better here, till I reach the middle of your ear. - katydew, Jun 23, 2013
I am not the one who translated it. It was from the website. This is beyond any Spanish skills that I have:) - 0083f5dc, Jun 23, 2013

The lyrics are not very good. Maria Muldaur, when she sang with the Jug Band, in that unforgettable voice of hers, sang one that began--"My baby's a deep-sea diver...".

Translating songs , or poetry is fraught with danger , it is so hard , if not impossible to translate a feeling that someone els is trying to express. - ray76, Jun 23, 2013
