If you refer to a residence, mudarse and trasladarse is the same, also used moverse in this case.
Mudarse de ropa - to change one's clothes
Mudarse de piel - skin change (snake, worms and other animals)
Mudarse de casa/moverse de casa - move house
Van a "trasladarse/mudarse/moverse" a una casa más grande - They will move to a bigger house
The verb trasladar, also has other meanings.
