Lesson 1.4 Articles

Why is it in lesson 1.4 "como uvas" is fine? I don't need to use a definite or indefinite article like "como las uvas" or "como unas uvas"? Later in the lesson you have to use an article for "Come una naranja" so I'm a little confused.Do you not always need an article? If not, when don't you need one? Thanks!

An article is usually not absolutely necessary in Spanish. A general rule of thumb is that if an article is not used in English it's not in Spanish either. "como uvas" I eat grapes. all is fine. "come UNA naranja" she is eating AN orange.

the articles "unos" and "Unas" are seldom used. I don't know it that helps much.
