How to make a Game post
Hi all,
I was just wondering how to create a new game for everybody. I see people making up games for other people to do to help them improve Spanish or English. But, when I clicked "Ask a Question" I realized there was no category for "Games" but on other tabs in Q&A there was a section "Games." Do I need a certain reputation or something, or is there some button I'm just missing? Thanks.

I have been in communication with the Owners-Administrators of Spanishdict.com. They have corrected me. 1000 reputation points is needed to be able to post in the ¨Games¨category. My deepest apologies for not being aware of this.
Once you have reached 1000 reputation points, if you still do not have the ¨Games¨ category on the drop down menu list of categories, please open a new post in the ¨Website questions and feedback¨ category and let Spanishdict.com know.

I don't either. Anybody know how to enable that function or something?
I do know that all games should be put there, but I don't have "Games and challenges" like you do... I totally get your question Szhang!
There are no written formal rules for the "Games and Challenges" category.
Here are a few suggestions.
-- 1. Look at other games and see how they introduced the game. Use that as a pattern.
-- 2. Because we are a learning site in both Spanish and English, members will post their answers in both languages.
-- 3. When games are developed where the member provides the next member the information, it helps to keep the game going. Here is an example. I am not finding the link, but given 5 words use 3 of the 5 words in a sentence. Replace the 3 words that you used for the next member. Maybe another member can say this better and provide an example.
-- 4. If you don't have a great deal of participation don't become discouraged, try something else.
-- 5. Their is a game called "No. xx - Weekly perífrasis verbales: Practice Exercise: xxxxx + infinitivo" and it comes out every Sunday evening. This way members begin to look for the game. They know that it is coming. And there is an anticipation and excitement for what is coming.
-- 6. Members love the English games. Several different ones but they all focus on helping the English learners, and it´s nice because the Spanish learners leave their Spanish answers. Use a 5 letter word ending in x. Confusing English Word Challenges, Find a word related to xxxx. Again, they are regular as the member can post them.
-- 7. Another member has a translation game. He´s not only looking for better Spanish for himself, but it seems there is a lesson in life for us. There is no one correct answer, it´s how we feel about life or each other or involves friendship or love which we all need.
-- 8. The easier the game, the more participation. It´s a balance to create something simple and interesting and for all the varied levels that we have. Sometimes a game for beginners and and a separate game for more advanced learners is helpful. Read the comments and the membes are really good about supporting and encouraging what they need for their learning.
¡Espero que esto ayudara!

Thank you, but I don't have the category "games and challenges" at all! Do you know how I can get it?
Click > Q&A > Categories > Games and challenges
should all games be put here?
It is on Category list and it is on line 3.
So even if you have a great game idea to increase community involvement you must wait until you earn 1000 rep points? That doesn't seem fair.
What happens if you post your game under a different category?
I also asked about "Reference" articles and was sent this. I totally forgot about this page. It's really helpful.
A member needs 5000 reputation points to create Reference Articles.
