Hi Guys,

Could someone point me in the direction to show what the differences are between, lo que, los que, la que, las que and el que.

"Lo que" translates roughly to "what," as in "Te digo lo que voy a hacer" --> "I'll tell you what I'm going to do." The "lo" refers to an idea. The others, el, la, los, and las, all serve to specify which thing. For example, "Ese hombre, el que habló contigo ayer, va a ayudarnos a pintar." The "el que" refers to the man, and is a way of showing who exactly we refer to. You use the others depending on the gender and quantity of people. Kind of a basic answer, but it should suffice until someone a little better versed in explanations can give a better one.
