Have a read of this - perhaps you could translate it as magician or in Spanish mago or hechicero (wizzard). Is that what you mean?

Nahual is a mitologic creature in some ancient mesoamerican cultures.
Basicaly is a witch or sorcerer who can turn his body into an animal (dogs, racoons, ravens, alligators, bats, snakes, jaguars etc) in order to trick humans and kidnap young ladies.
The true form of the nahual is unknow, but most of the time, they adopt a human form.
