Hi,

In which way is the word Enhorabuena used in the Spanish language? I thought it means something like 'ok, good for you', is that right?

Enhorabuena has two main meanings:

a) As a noun, is a congratulation: ¡Enhorabuena!= "good for you!/ congratulations!"

b) As a modal adverb it is used to denote approval, acceptance or consent. "Cásate con ella enhorabuena el día que quieras" "Marry her the day you want to" (I give my consent, I approve it)

To use as a modal adverb, we normally divide the word into its 3 parts en hora buena.
