Reflexive verbs + how to use them

-When you congugate a reflexive verb, the reflexive pronoun ALWAYS goes before the conjugated verb.

Ejemplo:

Juan se despierta a las siete y media

-When you use a reflexive verb as an INFINITIVE, you can attach the reflexive pronoun to the end of the infinitive or putit in front of the conjugated verb

Ejemplos:

Nos vamos a despertar.

or

Vamos a despertarnos.

-When you use the reflexive verb as an -ING word, you can attach the reflexive pronoun to the end of the -ING word or put it before the conjugated verb (ESTAR)

Ejemplos:

Me estoy poniendo mi chaqueta

or

Estoy poniendome mi chaqueta.

Reflexive verbs include->

(reflexive verbs are things that you do to yourself)

acostarse- to go to bed (o-ue)

afeitarse-to shave

bañarse- to bathe

caerse- to fall down (go verb)

cepillarse- to brush

despertarse- to wake up (e-ie)

divertirse- to have fun/ enjoy yourself (e-ie)

ducharse- to shower

irse- to go away

lavarse- to wash

levantarse- to stand up

llamarse- to call yourself

maquillarse- to put on makeup

mirarse- to look at

peinarse- to comb

ponerse- to put on (go verb)

secarse- to dry yourself

sentarse- to sit yourself down (e-ie)

vestirse- to dress (e-i)
