I have just become aware that our senior and most accomplished forum member has just lost his mother. To Ray76, my deepest sympathy. I hope you all will join me in sending condolences to this good man who is such an intregal part of the SpanishDict community.

All we have here on SD are words , but they are words of great power , they create
and inspire us each day . Your wonderful words have lifted my spirits and made me
realise that I am not alone , we all suffer the same loss and overcome the same way.
Our grief is a time of introspection when we valuate our lives , the meaning , and the
direction we have taken and may now take. I have thought deeply over the past
few days and realise how lucky I have been to have had almost 80 years with
a great mother , I can no longer enjoy her company but I have glorious memories ,
and I am so grateful that she prepared me so well and set me up for the next
80 years.
Living so long and being still very fit is a two edged sword, ones friends
have either left or are not healthy , which means that one is alone quite a lot ,
but I am lucky in having a world wide family of friends on SD who are ageless,
your support and friendship is something which I value greatly. Thank you all
for giving me this warm collective hug .Gracias a todos

Hello mate, I may have missed too much but I certainly can not miss out on this. My heart has always been with all my friends. I wish you comfort after you have well mourned and during your times of mourning remember all the good things. I changed my username and it's times like these I wish I really had that magic wand. We each only have one mother and she's special to us beyond description. How can you thank someone for teaching you your "mother tongue?" How is it no one but Mom knows the right way to make your favorite meal? She's away, but always, always with you.

Hi Ray, you have been blessed. You're very lucky to have spent almost 80 years with your mom. I envy you for that.
I see death as a celebration of life. I guess she just boarded the train earlier than the rest of us. I wish her a safe and pleasant journey. ^^

Sorry to be very late ,I' v just been notified , really I am so sorry for you Ray , I hope she found peace and comfort among the angels in heaven . The only thing we can make now is praying to the relief of her soul , please God take care of her Amen . My heartfelt condolences to you Mate.
