Question

I have a confusion regarding numbers, Is 800 pounds=ochocientas libras or ochocientos libras ?

& 831 pounds= ochocientas treinta y una libras or ochocientos treinta y una libras ?

On which parts of the number gender change is applicable?

831 lbs - ochocientas treinta y una libras is I how would phrase it.

754 camisas - setecientas cincuenta y cuatro camisas. Here cuatro remains invariable.

It's only when the number ends in one and the adjective it modifies is feminine that you need to change un/uno to una.

501 relojes (quinientos un relojes)

501 pulseras (quinientas una pulseras)

By the currency.

in this case libras is female

831 pounds= ochocientas treinta y un libras or ochocientos treinta y una libras

Both are OK.

Is that what you wanted to know?
