"Tengo muchos tareas en Abril"
Is the grammer of this spanish sentence right? I would like to say I have many homework in April.

Tarea is usually spoken in singular when it is the same work no matter how much of it, so for this we say Tengo mucha tarea en abril.

In singular it would mean to have one single task/homework for the whole month, whereas in plural it would mean several different tasks/jobs (homework).

It´s like "work." If you have various tasks to do in your job, you still say "lots of work" in singular, ie "este año tengo mucho trabajo" "La universidad me ha dado mucha tarea este año" - 005faa61, May 23, 2013
