Mi corazón está con ustedes, y todas mis oraciones.

My heart is with you , and all my prayers.

The loss of life and stunning devastation in Oklahoma City suburbs after a monster tornado ripped through the area are heart-wrenching. But within hours, relief organizations were getting out the message on how to help.

American Red Cross The Red Cross has set up shelters in various communities. You can donate to the Red Cross Disaster Relief fund here, and the organization also suggests giving blood at your local hospital or blood bank.

It really is horrible. Both of my teammates live close to there. We were texting last night and they´re both OK with apparently no significant damage, the Tornado having just missed them.

Ironically, we were helped to miss the relatively small tornadoes from the previous day by my co-driver (for the trip, not the races) crashing out and spraining his wrist. Since he couldn´t race, he wanted to go home a bit early, so after I checked on all my customers, I agreed and we left a few hours early.

Later, a TV station just happened to catch this photo, and by sheer coincidence, one of our race club´s two equipment trailers, with our small pit truck in tow (the CMRA) happened to be on the highway with a tornado in the background. My friend Walter was driving but managed to get out before the tornado got to the road. Normally, we´d have been right there with him. Yikes. Too close for comfort. Best crash and wrist sprain ever.

It must have felt horrible being stuck in traffic with that coming. I can´t imagine.

MOORE, Okla. — A giant tornado, a mile wide or more, killed at least 91 people, 20 of them children, as it tore across parts of Oklahoma City and its suburbs Monday afternoon, flattening homes, flinging cars through the air and crushing at least two schools.

The injured flooded into hospitals, and the authorities said many people remained trapped, even as rescue workers struggled to make their way through debris-clogged streets to the devastated suburb of Moore, where much of the damage occurred.

Amy Elliott, the spokeswoman for the Oklahoma City medical examiner, said at least 91 people had died, including the children, and officials said that toll was likely to climb. Hospitals reported at least 145 people injured, 70 of them children.

These images are horrific and rips the heart out of us all

We need to send them all our lovingkindness and meta

Moor, Oklahoma.

For the first time in my life I am lost for words to describe how I feel ,

or to imagine how devastating it must be for those people who are suffering.
