Think of ni as neither nor or either or in English. Examples:
No fuimos ni a Valencia ni a Madrid.
We did not go [either] to Valencia or Madrid
We went neither to Valencia nor Madrid.
No me gusta ni la camisa verde ni la azul.
I don't like [either] the green shirt or the blue one.
I like neither the green shirt nor the blue one.
'Ni" es "nor" or "Not even" in English.
"¡Qué cosa! Ni quería yo contestarle las boberías que me peguntaba él. Me quería sacar datos de la empresa, y sospecho que fuera de la competencia."
"Jeeze! I didn't even want to answer the bull---- he was asking about. He was trying to get information about my workplace, and I suspect he was from the competition."
I looked up ni in the translate function above and found a number of good examples.
Ni,,,, ni is one example meaning neither ..... nor
¡Ni idea!
