I can't find it in the dictionary. Has any one here heard of salveque o selveque for backpack. I have heard it often but have never seen it written. Is this limited to Costa Rica?

Fui a buscar el diccionario pero no encontré. ¿Algún sabe la palabra salveque o selveque como backpack? Yo sólo escuchar la palabra y no veo escribado. ¿sólo en Costa Rica?

You can find it written as salvaque but accordingly to the RAE salveque is the word used in Costa Rica, Honduras and Nicaragua.

I checked salbeque and it means: a bag filled with cloth used for fun, like a pillow fight. - Anormal, May 12, 2013

By the way is there a differance between salbeque y mochila like one is for the montañas (selva) and the other normal use? There does not seam to be in the context used.
