A letter asking my professor to be excused from an exam
I want to create letter convincing my professor that I had a good excuse for missing an exam and why I should be allowed to re-take the exam.

Okay, the first step is to have a good excuse. If it's the truth, that's preferable. If not, you'll have to make something up. The next step would be to write the letter. Not too long, mind you. Especially if you're making the story up, or you're liable to forget some details if you are cross examined. Then, probably proof read it a couple times, and either print it out and turn it in, or just email it to said professor. Good luck!
Attach a copy of the emergency room or hospital papers, court papers, news reference to major traffic accident/disaster, or other documentation you have that proves you were unable to attend. Good luck!
