strong textEvery country has its own slangs, and when you learn a languague, teachers don't teach you many of word that you learn when you live or visit the country of the languague that you are studying. I studied english for three years, and at the beginning it was hard and my face at the class was like :O?!, yeah, sure of that, but when I traveled to US, I could talk to other people and say what I wanted to say (thing that I couldn't do whe I didn't know english and was little) anyways, I know there are a lots of words in english that I didn't learn at class, the famous "SLANGS". In spanish we have a lot, and of course mexican spanish is NOT the same that Spanish from Spain, argentinian spanish, colombian spanish etc etc. Even in México, depends of the city, and state you live we use different slags, I am from north México, and we are known as a very umm "rancher" people 'cause we speak so out loud and speak I think like texans. These are some word from my state Sinaloa:

Bichi: the same as "desnudo"= naked

Plebe: the same as muchacho/a, chavo/a= guy, girl, like dude

Chimichanga: this is a food and has no translation, you can google it and see how it is, but in some parts of México is known as "duro".

Arre: this word has different meanings: as a affirmation or to give emphasis to say good bay. example: -Vamos al cine? - Arre!! translation: Let's go to the movies? _for sure/ ok/ let's go!!

Te la tiras: A term used in people showing off their skills or achievements. S1.-Presumption Ej1.-Affirmation Exmaple: Te la tiras de guapo o que? ¿ do you think you are handsome or what? sarcastic - Te tiras a la vecina, verdad? ¿ do you **** with your neighboord, dont you? in these case is used as a sexual context.

Wey or güey: these is very very common in México, and is like say "dude" in english but it's a little vulgar and it's most used by guys, me as a girl NEVER say that word, I dont really like it.

Simón= Sí, as and affirmation: YES

A huevo/ a wevis: A force, inevitably, by obligation. (of course these word is vulgar too and is used most by guys, never say this word neither ajaj).

Vale verga: Means, To afirm with obvious, to say that something is worth less, or no good, or that asshole: Example: ¿Cómo te fue en el examén de matematicas? Valí verga! ¿How was your math exam? I am screwed up! Note: these is the worst of the worst word I could ever use! is soo vulgar I think I've say this word twice in my life, is so vulgar that I can't stand when other person say it, even my teenagers friends of course ALL my male friends use it).

Rollo/ royo/ tirar el royo: it's like, you use it when you say hi to a friend very informal: what's up?! or when you ask to someone what's going on: ¿qué royo contigo? or used qhen you are flirting with someone you are fell in love with. ¿ Te está tirando el royo Luís? ¿ Is it Plabo flirting with you? something like that.

Paro: it's a favor, ask for a favor: Hazme el paro porfa!- do me a favor please!

tonto: fool, silly.

mayate: sometimes is used to refer two guys who are gays and are lovers, but sometimes is used by two friends(boys) who are really close, best friends, but you have to be very close to that person to say it's your mayate, and it depens of the context and situation if is a "gay" or just a "friend" of as guy.

castroso: someone who is really annoying , that speaks about the same all the time so is't so irritable.

Well these are a few of the most used in my city most of them are a little vulgar, some words I use a lot, like tirar el royo, que rollo, hacer el paro, bichi, plebe, are very common, I dont remember more right now but if I remeber some I will post it here, if you know slags from US or another country let me know I would love it. That's it for now, hope this be hopeful for you. Grettings from mexico. Saludos de México
