coverman confused
Hi I am very new How do i check my points. I completed a few things and I cannot see where the points were registered. I can see some of them but not all. I only got seven of the written word correct -the accents are kicking my butt.

Hover the arrow over your avatar (picture box) and it will show you your reputations, badges and learning points. If you click on your name, it will take you to your profile that will give you a rundown of your points. Click each of the 3 numbers and you'll get a separate profile page that counts each different kind. It also lists your activity. Right next to your avatar on your profile page, there is a little box that says, reputations, badges and learning points. Click it and it will tell you more about how to get points, what they are given for, etc.

I too get lower scores on the written part of the quizzes. If you have an Alt button on your keyboard, hold that down before hitting the letter (Alt + e = é). For me it's a little bit faster than using the letters along the bottom of the answer box. There's also a way to change your keyboard to accomodate Spanish letters.
Here's a link to a Q&A here on SD where others discussed the same thing: Install Keyboard Symbols By the way, you can keep re-taking the quizzes and if you get a higher score the second (third, fourth...) time, you'll be credited with the extra points over & above your original score. Also, you can re-set the quiz options (bottom left of each section) to remove the pictures, shuffle the order, restart quiz or invert the options. I sometimes find the pictures distracting so I remove them so I don't have to decide what the picture depicts (I go, You sleep, etc.). Enjoy learning Spanish, and we'll see you around the forum!
