Cucada - It's a word?

Is this a real word or slang? And can anybody tell me if cucada can be translated as cute or even cheeky?

doesn't seem totally reliable but it's there.
RAE has cucar as the nearest word and this blog which is called Mira qué cucada! ( El baúl de las cucadas artesanales) leads me to believe it could be. I'm more familiar with Mexican spanish and haven't heard it there before. My friend says it's a type of hat?

Yes. It's used in Spain to mean what a cutie! what a nice thing!

Le di una cucada a la chica ........ I winked at the girl. This is how it´s used in Mexico.
Cucada from the verb cucar.
