Is Pablito or Lolita an acceptable nickname?

While there are common nicknames (apodos) I don't think there are any rules governing what can and can't be an apodo.

So yeah, Lolita could be a nickname, but I'm not sure anyone would want lolita as a nickname, given it's meaning.

Those nicknames are commons. ito/ita are diminutive terminations, used as a nickname for children usually. (Pedro-pedrito, juana-juanita, carlos-carlitos, Francisco=paco, paquito, etc...). The original names that you say:

Dolores (nicknames): lola, loli, lolita, doli

Pablo (nicknames): pablito, polo, pipo, payo, pavo

Pablito is a common nickname, I have never heard "Lolita" before...
