what's the difference between the verbs Sacar and Quitar?

Sacar means to take something out, to remove a piece of something (Sacar la basura, sacar una muela).
Quitar means to get rid of something, take off or remove something also. (Me quite los zapatos, me quitaron mi teléfono)
