Where do we use este and esto? Please explain with a example.

Also basically .....................
este can be used as an adjective when colocated with its complimentary noun, ie este cohete, el cohete este. Esto can only be used as a pronoun.
In another usage, el este and el oriente both mean east.

I'll try to put it simply:
Esto es un cohete, that would imply that everything you see that looks like the object you're pointing at is a rocket.
Este es un cohete, some rockets may not be like this one.
