Challenge- Prepositions

Challenge- Prepositions

Prepositons-This is something we all need a little practice with. This challenge is intended to strengthen your use of prepositions.

en- on

cerca de- near

lejos de- far from

derecho- straight

a la izquierda- to the left

a la derecha- to the right

delante de- in front of detrás de- behind

ante- before

debajo de- under

encima de- above

a lado de- next to

sobre- around

Here is a helpful link for other useful prepositions

So you can get a fun picture ( which around here is no problem) and give two sentences, one in English and one in Spanish, telling where the subject is in the picture. ( using prepositions of course) They can be as simple or as challenging as you want them to be.

EXAMPLE: Example

la abeja esta en la flor.

The bee is on the flower.

Try hard and most importantly have fun!

(If you see any mistakes, feel free to let me know!)

" Hoy temprano por la mañana estoy estudiando español en casa, que es lejo del ruido del tráfico en el pueblo. Mi ordenador está sobre la mesa delante de me al lado de mi diccionario. "

" I am studying Spanish early in the morning at home, which is far from the noise of the traffic in the village. My computer is on the table in front of me next to my dictionary."

Sorry about the wrong spelling of "traffic ". Speaking Norwegian for over 50 years makes these mistakes happen - britisk, Apr 12, 2013
Britisk, there is an edit button to change your "traffic" spelling mistake. - --Mariana--, Apr 12, 2013
Both of your sentences are excellent! Like Mariana said you need to change "traffic" in your English sentence. Keep up the good work! - jessicamccall117, Apr 12, 2013
Thanks Mariana. I should have done that. - britisk, Apr 12, 2013
