If you are writing in the present perfect:

if you have poner, which is irregular in this tense, which is puesto. Would you include the he has ha hemos or han in fornt of it ? hacer is also troubling

por ejemplo, Mamá ha puesto las pilas....???

Yes, theonegrew. For the present perfect tense, in English, you need an auxiliary verb “have” or “has” plus the past participle of a verb.

In Spanish, you’re using a conjugated form of haber, and yes, they’re he, has, ha, hemos, and han plus the past participle form of a verb. For poner, as you’ve already stated, it’s puesto. It’s the same pattern as in English.

So, in both English and Spanish, you have a two-word verb: I have put = he puesto; she has put = ha puesto, etc.

You might also look at the 123 Teach Me conjugation chart for poner. Look at the pattern in the Present Perfect row: Conjugator for Poner.
